This Midbust can be defined as a re-reading of the Victorian corsetry style. The adjustment to contemporary patterns, that include new production methods, differentiates it from a reproduction, despite the fact that it preserves certain traits that are faithful to the period.
The Midbust modeling is traditional in historical corsetry. Its function is to project the whole volume of the breasts toward the top of the neckline.
The jacquard used to produce the piece contains a unique and marking trait: its graphics in baroque style that have an ultimate importance for the composition. The flossings (embroideries on the edges of the bones) and the lace in black evoke the burlesque style. Worthy of a participation in a Moulin Rouge show.
